Ultralight Winged Probe
This compact drone will let you explore all atmospheric planets (to date, only tested on Eve). With low mass (1,3t) and compact size (can fit inside 2,5m fairing) you can cheaply transport it where you want. With use of electric engine and nuclear reactor it can fly almost forever (DO NOT CHANGE REACTOR POWER, not enough cooling).
Require powerful relay sat or manned command hub to opreate, due to weak antenna (mass limits folks).
Transport capsule not included! Do it yourself, be an engineer!
TECHNICAL DATA
Top speed (1000ASL) - 130m/s (Eve 60m/s)
Minimum safe speed - 30m/s (Eve 20m/s)
Recommended on final speed - 30m/s
Cruise speed - always use full throttle en route
Take-off speed - 40m/s (Eve 30m/s)
Fold/unfold wings and propeller - use action group 1
NOTE: Folding in air turn engine off, unfolding don’t turn on
Check cooling fins before igniting reactor!
I was able to transfer it to Eve, but capsule was faulty and damage occurred (destroyed front wheel). Suprisingly it was able to fly and land.
