Description
An industrial scale rocket fuel refinery in a lander form-factor. Designed for operation in very low-gravty situations where conventional rovers fall short both in range and maneuverability. It’s also quite usable on intermediate-gravity planets like Duna.
A stock aircraft called L-49 Laboriosa. Built with 94 of the finest parts, its root part is Size1p5.Tank.03.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.3.
Notes:
Like its distant relative, Heavy Refueler, this is designed as strictly a utility craft. As such, it lacks any science equipment or space for extra crew. A pilot and engineer are both highly recommended.
Its rcs thrusters are able to provide liftoff thrust on Minmus-type bodies. This makes it very easy to get it into position.
Laboriosa runs 12 drills and 4 conversion processes on 2 converter modules for very fast re-fueling.
Fits into Cargo Vessel II for interplanetary transfer.
Since 1.12.3 has added a countermeasure against robotics glitches, I’ve bound ABORT to toggle the lock on all the robotics and the docking port.
