Description

Originally a gimmick vehicle designed for a very specific mission profile, the Honeybadger is now a capable exploration rover designed for high speed and high endurance. It’s extremely fast, practically unstoppable, and loaded with every surface experiment. It has VTOL thrusters and self-righting capability as well as the ability to refuel itself. Seats 6 with the option of adding more seats in-situ.

A stock aircraft called Honeybadger Surface Exploration Vehicle. Built with 79 of the finest parts, its root part is Panel2.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.3.

Notes

• Requires driving controls to be separate from flight controls. This is because of the glitch used to make the Honeybadger so fast.
  
• Accelerate to high speeds by steering right. Actually steer with yaw left and right
  
• For best results on most planets, Engage SAS and leave it on prograde hold
  
• Some parts of the rover can be broken off, particularly if you crash at a speed greater than 80m/s, however even in that case the vehicle should be able to continue roving due to the extremely high crash tolerance of the wheels’ superstructure which protects all essential parts.
  
• Certain planetary bodies will cause wheels to lock up when Traction Contol is set too low. If you experience this, raise the value and timewarp/reload.
  
• Able to accelerate itself to over 100m/s on level ground.
