A stock aircraft called Work Horse. Built with 171 of the finest parts, its root part is probeStackLarge.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
Reusable drone SpacePlane with dockable service core and Klaw to grapple stuff.
It’s Forward-Engine design moves the CoM & DCoM towards the nose and keeps it very stable through all aspects of flight even during re-entry, and recovering from a flat-spin.
Primarily used for orbital construction, but may have other uses.
Take off and hold 7 degrees pitch all the way up to sub-orbit; switch RAPIER modes at 22Km until your reach your desired APO and circularize. Recommended APO between 80km and 100km. Returning beyond 100km is not guaranteed.
Once in orbit, undock the service core from the airframe and maneuver your construction piece into position, undock from the piece and redock with the airframe, de-orbit and repeat as needed until construction is completed.
When de-orbiting, do it upside-down so the wing angle can push it down in to the lower atmosphere faster, (between 36km and 32km) then roll sideways and hold S to aerobrake. if you veer too far off-course, simply roll to the other side and continue to aerobrake until you’re below 1500 m/s surface speed, then it’s safe to descend normally. if you attempt to re-enter while right-side-up, you’re likely to skip off the atmosphere and miss your landing target.
Please note that when empty, this vessel will want to remain aloft and it will glide very long distances, maybe even circle Kerbin once or twice if you let it, so you’ll have to aggressively force it to come down.
