UNDER 200 PARTS FOR A REPLICA I’M HAPPY WITH!
.
Focused on the part count with this one. Honestly these visual mods are destroying my frames so I need to make more efficient planes. This is a good start. At 128 parts I can easily run two of these with only a minor impact to performance.
.
Couldn’t make the wingtip slats look nice so I just made them static instead of dynamic, as the rest already make more than enough of an impact on the flight performance.
.
I advise caution while the trailing flaps are deployed, your roll rate decreases a TON and it becomes unstable in the roll axis (although it does its job of slowing you VERY well).
.
Only took about 1.5 hours to make. I will admit that the F-18 is not a challenging aircraft, but I’m still pretty pleased with such a short build time.
.
A stock aircraft called F-18 SuperHornet. Built with 128 of the finest parts, its root part is Mk1FuselageStructural.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.4.5.
