A stock aircraft called FA-19 Specter. Built with 47 of the finest parts, its root part is noseConeAdapter.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.5.

Design Notes

The Krakonians didn’t really have an interceptor in their lineup as an adversary to the Untied Tech FA-02 or FA-27. Sure, the FAS-15 is highly advanced in the sense that it can outrun any other fighter, all the way to orbit… but the engines just burn thru fuel so fast, it doesn’t have much in terms of prolonged pursuit in atmosphere. The FA-19 filled the void and allowed me to tinker with a retro-interceptor design that I’ve long admired.

Notable on this craft (as well as its FA-02 counterpart) are the non-vectoring engines, consistent with 3rd Generation fighter craft. I really like the flight characteristics of the delta wing with its actuating forward edge and the very traditional empennage which included about a 5° built-in pitch adjustment on the horizontal stabilizers. Low takeoff and landing speeds with a very nice (and believable) flap effect on lift. All this combines very nicely to give this craft a lot of personality in the air. Probably one of my favorites to fly.

While tinkering with this one it did also occur to me that there really is no Untied Tech craft to counter the Krakonian A-22. I may need to consider a subsonic ground support attack craft design for the Untied Tech fleet lineup. (edit: It was this single comment/realization that sparked the idea and launched the design of the UnTech A-30 Thunder Bop II)
