Description

Here comes a really basic and simple air-launched orbital system. Still being blocked on my re-worked stockalike Pegasus I decided to make a new launcher with approximately the same capabilities about the payload, as well as the cost.
.
The whole craft is easy to handle and able to perform its mission easily. The OC-16C Areion II mother-ship, nicknamed Tropolaunch II by the ground staff, is overpowered with its four Goliath turbofan, but it was a necessity to ensure it some good performances to climb quickly between 9 to 11 km, where the launcher is dropped. Then, despite being powered by a single Swivel, it is able to accelerate fast enough to place the apogee around 300 km before being shut-down. Then the second stage, with more than 2 km/s of impulsion available can transfer the light payload to different target easily. The satellite coming with it being nothing else than a simple communication and relay platform, having 1.5 km/s available for the next maneuvers.
.
The craft being really easy to fly and control, I decided to send it directly to Eve on its first flight, and the result was pretty nice with a relay placed on a high polar orbit, everything for the cost of 7718 Founds only.

A stock aircraft called Tropolaunch II / Eve Com I. Built with 84 of the finest parts, its root part is microEngine.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1.
