Out of curiosity, I just felt the need to build a small business jet yesterday. The result was Iris, a light twin-engined aircraft able to go to a Pole and to come back without difficulties with her more than 50 km/s of impulsion. To cover the fees, a small cargo bay and its five different scientific sensors are available.
Pretty easy to fly (no really). Vr at 55 m/s, cruise speed of 200 m/s at 9000 m and landing around 80 m/s.
So an excellent way to kill the time.
A stock aircraft called Sleg OT-5A Iris. Built with 46 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark1Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
Album of the flight to the South Pole.
(I just love this screenshot)
