Description
I really was in the need of a multirole and cheap craft to realize three different missions while orbiting Eve and being at the surface at the same time. Inspired by the famous Venera Soviet program dedicated to Venus, Evera is a simple, cheap, but pleasurable twin craft coming for the price of one!
Carried by an Alliance 2.1b launcher, Evera is made of a trans-stage, a small lander, and a light communication satellite. The last is destined to be placed on a geostationary orbit, and benefits of more than 3 km/s of impulsion available for the task. Its Com 88-88, DTS-M1 and HG-5 light relay ensuring a good connection between the KSC and the lander. This one is consisting in a super simple RCS-001S for the control, multiple solar pannels… and a Stayputnik for the look!
The lander also is enjoying around 2 km/s of impulsion for all the maneuvers needed.
For the maneuvers, I would recommend to separate the relay from the lander once the craft has entered the planet sphere of influence. The priority being to ensure a good orbit to the ComSat before taking care of the landing probe, which, after all, should be orbiting lower.
A stock rocket called Evera I / Lander + Relay. Built with 167 of the finest parts, its root part is probeStackSmall.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.3.1.

A super long album for a long flight.
