Description

A simple cargo spacecraft inspired from the Chinese Tianzhou (Heavenly Ship) actually in service.
Following my last flight to Shabby Castle, itself some kind of a copy of the Tiangong-2 (Heavenly Palace-2) station, the spacecraft was starting to be in lack of fuel for next maneuvers. A refueling was then mandatory to ensure some change with contract, but I was lacking a proper cargo craft for the job. This is why I quickly built Diabolic Bark, and it realize its work pretty well.

It is coming with an inspired Changzheng 5 (Long March 5), called Short Step 5 and which is able to deliver a nice amount of tons for a not so cheap price in its category.

The fuel and monopropellant transfers has to be realized manually, the cargo having two fuel tanks inside the fairing which are not connected to its engines. This is giving the craft an impulsion of 1.7 km/s, which can be turned to more than 4 km/s if the fuel stock is used.
Update I: First stage engines re-positioned to looks closer to the real CZ-5, Sepatron I added to the first and second stages.

A stock rocket called Diabolic Bark. Built with 127 of the finest parts, its root part is dockingPort2.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.3.1.

Standard flight album, from the V.A.B. to the station.

Short Step 5 is enjoying a good TWR of more than 1.5 at launch. However, it slightly decreases once the boosters are jettisoned.
