Description
The AB-87 is a heavily armed triple-engine ground attack aircraft designed for wiping out entire armored divisions. It has 12 Browning 12.7mm heavy machine guns which spit out exactly 9000 rounds per second, and space for 16 500-pounder bombs or missiles under its wings. Featuring sophisticated aerodynamics, it is highly maneuverable at slow speeds, and is quite difficult to stall. Double-layer tailfins and structurally independent engine booms allow it to take several hits before inevitably exploding.
Max. tested altitude: 13,000 meters above sea level.
Top speed with afterburners: 336 m/s at 1000 meters altitude
Top speed with dry engines: 285 m/s at 1000 meters altitude
Turning time: Supermaneuverable, but liable to stall if flown that way. 18 seconds otherwise.
