Description
This little Vector-powered spaceplane can go anywhere in the Kerbol system. Literally! It uses the KAL-1000 track-editor exploit discovered by Danny2462 over at YouTube to give one of its Vector engines (the visible aft-facing one) the ability to go up to almost 300% of its maximum rated thrust, while giving a second Vector (forward-facing and buried inside the fuselage) a very large negative thrust setting (which doesn’t actually produce negative thrust, but does have negative fuel and oxidiser consumption - i.e., it produces propellant!).
Even with several radiator panels bolted onto the forward parts of the plane, its throttle still needs to be carefully limited when in atmosphere to keep from burning up. The throttle is adjusted using the H/N keys; H advances the play position of the engine-controlling KAL-1000 (causing the aft-facing engine’s throttle to go up from zero all the way to a peak of 297.9%, before declining rapidly back to 100% as the KAL-1000 nears the end of its tracks), while N pulls the KAL’s play position back towards the start.
The heavy engines near the aft end of the plane make it rather difficult to fly when not under power, with a pronounced tendency to pitch up uncontrollably.
A stock aircraft called Mariella. Built with 31 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark1Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.10.1.
