Description

Tired of putting just one or two or four towships into orbit with each launch? Now you can launch eight at once! The Globus-III launcher is much more powerful than the older stage-and-a-half Globus, especially with eight Shrimp SRBs strapped on to assist.

A stock rocket called Many Tow Mini. Built with 330 of the finest parts, its root part is Size3To2Adapter.v2.

Like the Multi Tow Mini and Twin Tow Mini, the Many Tow Mini carries multiple Tow Mini towships on top of a single larger rocket. Like the Multi Tow Mini, but unlike the Twin Tow Mini, it isn’t quite Δv-y enough to get its towships all the way into orbit; when the probe bus’s Wolfhound engine flames out from fuel exhaustion, the vehicle is still on a (very slightly) suborbital trajectory, and the towships have to finish up the orbital insertion using their own fuel and engines. However, the Many Tow Mini gets its towships far closer to orbital speed than the Multi Tow Mini does; while the Multi Tow Mini’s towships have to burn through nearly half of their fuel and oxidiser to get themselves the rest of the way into orbit, the Many Tow Mini only requires its towships to use up a tiny fraction of their propellant supplies to get into a stable orbit.

The Globus-III rocket, with its RE-180 power unit, is loosely based on the real-life Atlas III launch vehicle, although its SRB configuration (at least as used for the Many Tow Mini) is not.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.10.1.
