Description
This spacecraft mates the highly-efficient Centaurus upper stage to the Globus stage-and-a-half booster.
Sample payload included.
My recreation of the real-life Atlas-Centaur, the first space launcher to use a hydrolox upper stage (with the attendant efficiency benefits) and a workhorse of the U.S. space programme for decades.
The second stage’s thrust-to-weight ratio is a bit low, so you should probably fly a somewhat lofted first-stage trajectory and pitch up a bit above the vehicle’s velocity vector during second-stage flight.
A stock rocket called Globus-Centaurus. Built with 51 of the finest parts, its root part is Rockomax64.BW.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.10.1.
