#V1

Description

A recreation of the infamous World War II V-1 cruise missile, complete with the straight, stubby wings and the engine pod mounted above the aft fuselage. To allow a runway takeoff, it’s equipped with a jettisonable three-wheeled landing-gear cart mounted under the fuselage, which also provides some degree of steering during the takeoff roll. (Even with the cart, it can’t really rotate for liftoff; it’s best to let it run off the dropoff at the end of the runway and then pull up.)

Once near the target, press 0 to disable the elevators, rudder, and reaction wheels (causing the missile to pitch over into a steep power dive), and trigger the Abort action group (either by clicking the abort button or by hitting [by default] Backspace) to fire the clump of decouplers and separators making up the U-1’s warhead and generate a pretty scattershot effect with the resulting debris and explosions.

The Fearjet flag decal, along with a bunch of my other custom flags, can be downloaded here.
