Description

A stock rocket called Donkey I. Built with 40 of the finest parts, its root part is HECS2.ProbeCore.

Created as part of trying my hand at building a useable orbital rocket using solely solid-fuelled engines, the three-stage launcher (with a Kickback first stage, a Hammer second stage, and a Flea as the third-stage kickmotor) carries a (rather large) HECS2-based relay satellite with solar power and four RA-2 relay antennae. The probe itself has RCS and a considerable supply of monopropellant, but the solid-fuelled launcher gets it comfortably into a fairly high orbit without needing any RCS burns at all.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.9.0.
