Description

Forget to put an engine on your probe, but remembered the junior-size docking port?

We’ve got you covered!

A stock rocket called DB-1-a3. Built with 39 of the finest parts, its root part is probeStackSmall.

If you’re like me, you often find yourself building craft while at least slightly distracted or sleep-deprived, leading to the occasional instance of, say, forgetting to put engines on your secondary payloads. If said payloads have a spare Clamp-O-Tron Jr. in the right place, however, this craft can give them a new lease of life, strapping on the previously-forgotten engines along with some additional fuel.

After installing the twin Tiny Engine Blocks onto the craft in need of them, the payload bus can be used as a light space tug with its remaining fuel and oxidiser. It has no parachutes, so, at the end of its life, it can either wait around in orbit for a towship, or deorbit itself with the expectation of being destroyed during reentry and/or surface impact.

A word of warning: like other rockets with threefold control-fin symmetry, it has a tendency to roll to one side or the other in response to pitch or yaw inputs during first-stage flight.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.10.1.
