Compared with the earlier ChairSat Sx, the Sy’s Thumper has been partially defuelled (to remove excess Δv) and thrust-derated (to keep the now-lighter vehicle’s acceleration down early on to keep it from burning up in the lower atmosphere), one of the tailfins has been removed, and the remaining three fins have been moved somewhat upwards so that the vehicle is less keen to immediately pitch down towards the horizon and can fly a steeper trajectory with less drag and more time for the upper stage to accelerate to orbital speed.
