Description
Much like the Buphagus Ia, the Buphagus II is a first stage made from a cluster of Kickbacks - in this case, thirteen rather than the Ia’s seven. It also has twelve sepratrons (one on the nosecone of each of the twelve noseconed Kickbacks) to help separate it from the stage above it (and thereby help keep said upper stage’s exhaust from blowing up the RGU at the top of the Buphagus), a Steadler RGU, a reaction-wheel module, and RCS for flight control during reentry, and airbrakes to help it slow down enough for the parachutes to safely deploy.
A stock subassembly called Buphagus II. Built with 113 of the finest parts, its root part is Decoupler.1.
