Description
This is made specifically to add launch pad lights at KSC or any other launchpad. I got tired of launching in darkness, so I made this light carrier and positioned four of them around the KSC launchpad. There are two versions, only difference being the angle of the spotlight array- the two rovers placed on each side of the pad (this is one of them) have their lights aimed low, taking in the launchpad itself. The two rovers front and back of the pad had their light array pointed more upward, so they cover the upper parts of the launch vehicle.
So to match the launchpad lighting results you see here, you will have to make a second version of this light carrier with its light array pointed more upward to cover the upper parts of your launch vehicles. Place two of this version front and rear of the pad, and two of the downloaded version on each side.
There are sufficient batteries on the vehicle, so there is no need to turn them on and off.
It’s a cheap and quick solution to something that should have been a game feature, and is begging for a quality mod. In the meantime, use these :)
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.30.
