Description

Heavy cargo SSTO capable of hauling an orange tank to the Mun.
(If you are really careful! Other, bulky but lighter, cargo should be easy, though.)

4.5k ∆v empty in LKO
3k+ ∆v hauling 35 tons to LKO

1 Large Mk3 Bay + 1 Small Mk 3 Bay
Bays include multiple docking ports to attach cargo.
Currently installed with relay and probe control point, ample battery, solar arrays, and RTG

Mass: 275 tons
Parts: 235

Orbit

Take off at 120 m/s
Keep level until 500 m/s (For very heavy loads, a short burn of the Skipper can help break 400 m/s)
Let VV naturally rise until 5° around 1000 m/s
(Be very careful with controls, or plane will rapidly disassemble!)
At 10km, aim for 1200 m/s and VV 10°
Let VV rise as it wants.
When time to AP starts to decrease, switch to closed cycle Rapiers, activate nukes and skipper.
When AP hits 40km deactivate Rapiers (Experiment with less!)
When AP hits 60km deactivate Skipper (Experiment with less!)
Nukes should finish to orbit.

Mun

Use nukes to begin retro burn.
After VV drops to -45° use Skipper to rapidly bring descent rate under control as needed (You did save some oxidizer, yes?), but mainly rely on nukes.
Upon touchdown, make sure to rotate down. use of Thud thruster to control front gear touchdown is probably optional.
For takeoff, use Thud to elevate nose past 45°
Switch to Nukes full power to attain orbit.

Duna

Haven’t tested, but should be possible. It has enough power and wing area.
Aerobrake to capture at Duna
Unsure about stall speed and optimal landing speed.
Nukes should be enough to takeoff, perhaps some use of Skipper for early portion.
Aerobrake to capture when returning to Kerbin. (Careful!)

Landing

Stall speed is around 50 m/s when empty fuel, due to massive wing area.
