The Fjalltindr is a Single Stage to Everywhereâ„¢ spaceplane that came about when one of our engineers got bored waiting in the spaceport for his connecting flight to Eeloo, and thought that there might be a market for a private, go-anywhere type ship. Luckily there was just enough time for design, prototyping, redesign, pre-production development, subcontractor contracting, marketing, and settling out of court with the families of the first three test pilots. Unfortunately, due to supply chain problems, he was unable to take delivery of his before his flight left, but we assured him we’d send it in the next transfer window. He told us that he’d leave the blinds open and happily went off on his Eeloo vacation. Thankfully he’s a better engineer than he is an orbital mechanic, and in this case I think he really outdid himself. The Fjalltindr is a very capable craft, easily able to reach anywhere in the Kerbin SOI without refueling. Not only that, but it comes with a full set of mining and processing equipment, so it can land on everything that’s not Tylo and take off from everything that’s not Eve (shut up. You can’t land or take off from Jool). The current version only has space for a pilot and an engineer, although if you don’t mind spending a lot of time mining you can bring your favorite scientist or whatever. The marketing department is telling me that I’m not allowed to write more about it. They’re grumbling about [redacted by the marketing department].
