The R-100C Crawler is a 8x8 High-Mobility Terrain Vehicle (HMTV), designed by SuperSonik Industries and perfected over the course of three years. It is loosely based on the SISU E13TP, used by the Finnish Defense Forces. Thanks to its powerful engines -which push it to a top-speed of about 30m/s- many wheels and high wheelbase it is very off-road capable, while its dual-axle steering keeps it relatively maneuverable for such a long 8x8 vehicle. It is also equipped with a hook lift type cargo-swapping system, which makes it an extremely versatile utility vehicle, being able to change its mission-specific payload in a matter of minutes. The vehicle has been designed to fit (unloaded) inside a Mk.3 cargo bay for transportation.
The hook lift system comes with a pre-installed frame upon which the end-user can build any module they like, but it can of course be stripped off and replaced by a permanent payload. The various docking ports on the rear of the vehicle allow it to also pull trailers of various types, in the picture exemplified with a patriot-missile launching trailer, built with BDArmory parts. Other modules seen in the pictures include a standard container, a direct ore-to-fuel vehicle refueling system, and a 19 ton heavy LFO tank.
NOTE: Lifting extremely heavy payloads can make the hook lift arm unstable and you might need to reduce the playback speed to even less than 40%. The 19 ton LFO tank in the video however should be about as heavy as a realistic payload on this vehicle would get, and the arm is perfectly capable of lifting it onto the truck bed.
