Description
A stock replica of the planned LK-700 Soviet lunar lander, with the UR-700 launch vehicle.
The brainchild of Vladimir Chelomei, the direct ascent and unique lateral staging designs of the LK-700 were ultimately scrapped in favor of Sergei Korolev’s N-1/L-3 rocket.
This spacecraft has seats for 2 kerbonauts within a custom interior, and has plenty of delta-V to land them on the Mun and return.
To make this ship look good and also not break, the following flags are required:

Download and put them into your Flags folder before downloading the craft file.
Some tips:
- Fly a standard ascent profile, but be gentle with the initial gravity turn, as the vehicle is somewhat wobbly.
- Keep RCS on basically all the time as the craft has no reaction wheels, but watch the monopropellant levels.
- Activate the Reentry Control System (AG2) before reentry for attitude control during descent.
- Jettison the main boosters (first stage) when they are depleted, but for realism, separate the rest of the stages at the following milestones:
1. Second stage (core) when on a suborbital trajectory.
2. Third stage when in stable LKO.
3. Fourth stage (lateral boosters) after TMI.
4. Fifth stage at (roughly) 2 km terrain altitude, 30 m/s vertical, 0 m/s horizontal over the Mun (also deploy landing legs here).
5. Sixth stage before reentry. - For extra realism, do not enter orbit around the Mun either on descent or ascent: Make the TMI burn a collision course, then begin decelerating at about 50 km terrain altitude. On ascent, make a burn into a high suborbital trajectory, then plot a maneuver node to escape.
Also the Chelomei Triangle is cool.
