Description
The vehicle I used to set a (former) Island Express record.
Normally I wouldn’t publish a craft like this, since it’s used in a competition, but the techniques used are pretty basic as far as speedrunning goes. That being said, if you submit a run to speedrun.com, please do not use this exact vehicle, at least modify it somewhat.
Note that this craft has excessive use of KAL overclocking, a glitch that some consider to be cheating. The official speedrun.com leaderboard allows such glitches as long as they are noted.
The Abort action group deploys a braking mechanism to slow down from 4 km/s to a safe
landing speed. Split-second timing is needed in order to use this mechanism effectively, the run shown in the video above was… let’s just say, not the first!
