Description
My MAV inspired by the film adaptation of the Martian. Built with 180 of the finest parts, its root part is cupola.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.0.5.
Not a bad little flyer, will easily achieve LKO, actually pretty overpowered for Duna. Has not been tried in RO.
The three engines on the MDV (the lander section) are powerful enough with the chutes that decel onto the surface should not be a problem. Make sure to try and aim for a flat spot! The same rules from the film sort of apply, no more than 12 degrees of tilt or so and it becomes pretty unstable. You also might want to add some ladders.
Will fit inside of a 5m expanded fairing base.
