Description
A stock rocket called Saturn MLV. Built with 223 of the finest parts, its root part is fairingSize2.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.12.3.
About the build
This rocket isn’t my largest lifter but it has the most payload to LKO of any rocket I’ve made by far. At ~170 tons to about a 75x75km orbit, it has an even higher payload capacity than the rocket proposal I based it on, which had 160 tons of capacity. This is probably my proudest creation, since it has a very high payload capacity whilst having great amounts for detail at a low enough part count to use it as a meaningful lifter. It’s got several small details that often get overlooked in other Saturn replicas such as the gold foil heatshield on the S-II as well as the silver ends of the F-1 housings. It also features a working interstage. All these factors mean you can deliver massive payloads and look awesome while doing so.
