The UKSAF F-11A Robin is the upgraded version of the F-11 Robin and boasts new aerodynamics and weapons systems. The F-11A was created out of a need to upgrade the existing F-11 fleet as they became a main weapon for the UKSAF and not just an augmentation fighter jet. The jet has kept its iconic X shaped airbrake system due to its excellent performance at slowing the craft. All of the UKSAF’s F-11’s will be upgraded to the A
variant over the coming months. Once this is completed the original F-11 will be retired and the F-11A will become the UKSAF’s new light fighter jet. The A
variant also received new computer systems that qill allow it to work with the UKSAF’s F-12 Joint Strike Fighter once that project is complete.
