UKSAF F-11 Robin Fighter Jet. The F11 was created during the F-10 upgrade program due to budget cuts. The UKSAF realized that they could not afford to upgrade all of their existing F-10’s to the F-10A variant and so they were forced to design a small and cheap fighter jet to augment the F-11 force until more funding was made available. The F-11 is small and very cheap to operate and maintain. It is also a a very formidable opponent in the sky due to its small size and small thermal footprint. These features make it very hard to spot via thermal scanners, radar, flir systems, and by visual detection. This also makes it hard for enemy pilots to get a missile lock on the aircraft and its small size makes it hard to hit with main guns. This plane that was born out of budget cuts has truly surpassed all expectations and become a vital part of the UKSAF’s fighter jet fleet. It is easily recognizable by its iconic X
airbrake pattern around the jet engine.
