Description
SSTO spaceplane experiment.
The Enterprise I is a first-gen delta-wing style SSTO capable of delivering small payloads into orbit and gliding back down to the surface of Kerbin with ease. Equipped with RCS for orbital manoeuvres and airbrakes for a quicker stop, this is a hardy spaceplane that when flown well can land at the runway with fuel to spare.
Powered by four RAPIERs the body contains the LFO mixture and the delta-wings contain the liquid fuel for the climb up. From tests, and practical flight experience, has a good climb rate, low stall speed and fair glide slope when empty and dry.
Pre-equipped with a small LKO relay with extra fuel to put it in a higher orbit if necessary.
