Description

When KSP developers added MOAR Boosters to the game, Rocket designer Sword 27 knew that he had to take advantage of the new Solid Booster Engines for his Continuing fleet of Launch Vehicles.

From the addition of this new set of SRBs’ into KSP, a brand new line of Launchers had passed the Research and Development phases: Introducing the Foxtrot Launcher Family.

The Foxtrot Launcher family has a 3.75m Rocket structure, inheriting the well designed 1st stage engine combination from its’ predecessor the Echo Launcher Family (4 Kerbodyne KE-1 Mastodon Liquid Fuel Engine, and a single LV-TX87 Bobcat Liquid Fuel Engine) which required scaling down to 1.875m for the Mastodon and 1.250m for the Bobcat.

The 3rd member of the Foxtrot Launcher Family is known as the 3SCU +2B, or 3 Stage Core Unit +2 Boosters, there are 6 Solid Rocket Boosters connected to the 1st stage 3: S2-33 Clydsdale Solid Fuel Boosters and 3 S2-17 Thoroughbred Solid Fuel Boosters

Depending on the weight of the encapsulated payload the core of the rocket after loosing the Solids can become a SSTO in a way, with the 2nd stage able to propel the remainder of the rocket and payload beyond 7500 kms, (Using MechJeb).
