Description
Swords27 desired to try scaling down his original Dragon Lunar Program Lander, and was sucessful in designing this heavily modified Apollo Era Style Lander using the Munar Excursion Module (M.E.M) as the core from the Making History Expansion.
Known as the Dragon Lunar Program Lander V1.1, this Lander maybe a scaled down version and can only be crewed by a pair of Kerbalnaughts, it weighs in at a mere 6.432 Tons in weight compared to the heavier 22.788 tons of the original V1 design, which can carry 4 kerbalnaughts.
Unfortunately this lander doesn’t come with a Rover attached to it, something that Swords27 isn’t really good at designing at the moment, however the cargo designing is one of the best features on this lander, the Power Supplies and ECS are stored near the top on opposite sides of the ladder, the experiments are located near the Engine part, with its own ladder to climb and grab each experiment.
The Electrical Systems are provided by 3 solar Panels, and communications is provided by 2 HG-5 High Gain Antennas, various Science Instruments are Provided as well, the ideal way to minimize fuel usage is to have the Lander attached to its mothership in a 20 to 25km orbit around either the Mun or Minmus.
