Shmallow Cruiser Thirty Two is the latest in ridiculously rad technology. (Seriously man, some of these things are pretty radioactive)
111 pieces of excellence went into this machine.
(We haven’t even mentioned what it does yet)
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.2.2.
Hey that doesn’t look like Kerbin’s sky!
Damn right it’s not. You’re looking at the Joolrise atop Laythe.
Shmallow Cruiser Thirty Two is the first of its series to introduce interplanetary travel. This is made possible by six (6) scramjets boosting four dark engines of immense efficiency.
SC32 carries a full kit of scientific tools and modules capable of keeping all of your kerbals busy for at least 15 minutes.
Now I know what you’re thinking, cause Im not only psychotic but also psychic.
But Cam, how does one fly this lovely machine?
You’re really impatient, I’m getting to that!
Launch SC32 with your scramjets, and pitch up quick to a heading of 55 degrees upward. Don’t turn off your engines until just before they die out of their second cycle.
Do circularization gobbly goop with your dark drives and prepare for a jool transfer.
(I highly recommend the launch window planner mod if you don’t already have it.)
Keep in mind that in the cargo bay is a full science pack, so take every oppurtunity to farm it all from here to Jool!
If you want to refuel the ship before the long journey, now is your last chance, but you don’t really have to.
Use your dark drives with SAS and RCS to perform the transfer to Jool, and laugh at the kerbals' upcoming 4 year boredom.
If you need something to do during the long flight, watch a danny2462 video! Always keeps me entertained.
You’ve got your Jool encounter! I don’t think I really have to explain much at this point. It’s not rocket science.
Wait… no that’s exactly what it is…
Now all that’s left is to get to Laythe and land. So basically just do everything you did on Kerbin but backwards. Yeah.
You probably dont want to use all of your scramjets. That would be pretty bad. Just use 4 on low thrust. Also, remember you have airbrakes for reentry and landing. Very useful!
AND VOILA! You’re on Laythe. What? You wanna go home?
Well, lucky for you, uh… too bad! You have science to do!
This took me far too long to do, Thanks for your patience!
I had to trash 2 different full designs and tweaked everything to oblivion!
Even the final model has a few flaws, so leave me some advice, and of course, check out my other planes in the Shmallow Cruiser Series!
Happy flighting http://i.imgur.com/SGXeZai.jpg
