Description

The FMA IAe 48 was a Mach 2.2 fighter jet proposed to the Argentine Air Force. Its design was based off of the FMA IAe 37, a unique aircraft in that it was a fighter design which used a laying down configuration where the pilot would lie on his chest looking out the canopy. In the end, they decided to make that variant a trainer and to streamline the design and stick engines on the bottom in nacelles. While it was never actually built, this oddball caught my eye. This one is the first of my craft to incorporate two major design features: gravioli cockpit and a fully sculpted delta wing. Hope you guys enjoy! I guarentee you will fall in love with her, she’s an absolute dream to fly. She maintains significant speed even in tight turns, she accelerates out of maneuevers like a bat out of hell, and she takes off at about 35 m/s.

Built with 358 of the finest parts.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.6.1.
