Description

An experimental design to see if I could get a plane inside a Mk3 cargo bay. It is optimised for flight on Eve, but it performs reasonably on Kerbin. Due to the compact nature of the propeller plus the hinge mechanism it is rather slow. Top speed is 100m/s on Eve and about 120m/s on Kerbin. The root part is a cubic octagonal strut so that it may be placed easily inside cargo bays. Some creative means of getting it out may be required, but it is absolutely possible.

To fly, press ‘3’ to detach the main wing. Switch to the wing and press ‘Q’ to swing it into place. It may get stuck on the tail, in which case disable the roll on the ailerons and then enable it again once clear. Once docked, press ‘1’ to detach the propeller. Switch to the propeller and hold ‘Alt’ and ‘Q’. Once in the air press ‘2’ to change the propeller pitch.

A stock aircraft called Flat-pack Eve Prop. Built with 93 of the finest parts, its root part is strutCube.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.4.3.
