Description
What started as an attempt to build a Kerbalized Go-Kart, ended in disappointment over abysmally slow acceleration using the Rovemax Model S2 wheels with the weight of Kerbal onboard. Project Kart was turned into a Dune Buggy with the RoveMax Model S1 wheels. It’s a fun, four wheel drive dune buggy that’s sturdy enough to survive most minor roll overs. It’s also able to land safely after catching air on the trackway leading to the launchpad of KSC.
A stock aircraft called Kerbal Dune Buggy - Stock. Built with 31 of the finest parts, its root part is probeCoreOcto2.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.2.2.
Details
- Type: SPH
- Class: rover
- Part Count: 31
- Pure Stock
Top Speed: 31.3 m/s - 112.7 km/h (no boosters)
Top Speed with boosters has not yet been determined because the same fuel that fuels the boosters also provides power via the fuel cell on the craft. Experiment with boosters at your own risk, as depleting the fuel means you risk running out of electricity much faster.
