Vega’s second solid stage
Vega’s third solid stage just after stage 2 jettison
Context
Vega is a small, multi stage solid fueled rocket that can lift 0.3 to 2.5t to polar and low Earth orbits. The first three stages are all solid fueled but a small liquid 4th stage allows precise orbit insertions as solid boosters cannot be shut off after ignition unless all the fuel is depleted.
Vega’s only liquid stage which provided final corrections on ascent and allows orbital insertion to be completed accurately
Craft Info
Make sure your gravity turn is quite shallow as the SRB’s in KSP do not gimbal and therefore all maneuvers are controlled by a few reaction wheels hidden in the liquid 4th stage.
