Context
Since the last Space Shuttle flight landed in 2011, NASA had been looking for new launchers that could send American astronauts to and from the ISS without the need to purchase seats on Russia’s Soyuz spacecraft. Therefore, NASA contracted two commercial companies: SpaceX and ULA. After setbacks on both sides, SpaceX managed to crew certify Crew Dragon before ULA and will be the first American capsule to launch American astronauts from American soil since the space shuttle era!

The highlight of this crew dragon replica is the custom Merlin Vacuum engine, made out of Grip pads with the thrust coming from 8 Mk55 Thud
engines. The engine features gimbal with the help of BG Hinges.
The Falcon 9 Booster is capable of a landing near the KSC following a straight up
ascent (more info below) with ample fuel to spare! Make sure to press 0 to activate the grid fins made out of grip pads! Before landing, press G to deploy the custom landing legs also made out of (you guessed it!) grip pads!
Be warned, on ascent with the full stack NEVER perform any kind of gravity turn since the craft will snap like a twig at the interstage. You will be able to manuever both sections once they are jettisoned, just not in one stack

If you are willing to fly this 1600 part beast, here you go:
- AG 1 to deploy the
touchscreen
in the interior (Optional) - SAS on and stage to launch
- DO NOT perform any kind of gravity turn or maneuver whilst still lifting the second stage and capsule for the aformentioned reason
- At 120KM apoapsis, press X to shut down the first stage engines
- Stage to jettison the first stage and ignite the Merlin Vac engine
- Enable RCS to keep the correct attitude as the custom gimbal is not 100% reliable
- You should be able to reach orbit by pointing slightly below the horizon 90 degrees before the first stage passes apoapsis.
- Once the second stage has made orbit, switch back to the first stage
- Deploy the grid fins with AG 0 and SAS retrograde.
- Start a suicide burn at the correct time (either with KER or MJ autoland)
- When near the surface, press G to deploy the landing gear
- You should land in the grasslands near to the KSC
- Switch back to the second stage in orbit and stage to deploy the Dragon Spacecraft with trunk
