Description

Developed by Werner Von Braun, the V-2 was a Nazi terror weapon built to carry a large warhead over medium distances to strike allied targets in Europe. After the war, this rocket would be refurbished to carry more peaceful payloads such as scientific intruments on suborbital flights in both the US and USSR.
