Description

S/VTOL for oxygen free atmospheres, optionally manned with a high visibility cockpit for a pilot. Stuff up to four Kerbals in the payload bay, don’t mind the radiation from the reactors.

Main power is an antiproton reactor with up to a 70 year fuel supply. Power is augmented by a beamed thermal power receiver, given adequate coverage allowing for unlimited duration. 25kw base load.

Positron reactors for turbojet propulsion. On Kerbin it can maintain full throttle Mach 3 at 15,000m and an endurance of about 8 hours. More moderate speeds will allow extreme endurance. Stable in flight and very maneuverable.

On Eve it flies very well, though caution is advised. Attempting to lift off vertically voids the warranty, use a STOL ascent. RCS thrusters are inoperative on Eve. Minimum altitude for thermal reciever reception is 12,000m. Recommended cruise is 40,000m and 500m/s.

Vertical lift fans and RCS are inoperative on Duna though the low wing loading allows a very low stall speed and long glide plane. Strong control wheels still allow good command authority.

A mod aircraft called Electric VTOL MkII. Built with 71 of the finest parts, its root part is M2X.SCRCS.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.5.1.
