Description
Beamed power station and deep space relay. Equipped for infrared through X-ray bandwidths. Primary dish is short infrared. Requires existing beamed power network for launch (1GW minimum recommended, any bandwidth). Primary power source is a micro-singularity reactor (1.2GW output, 10,000 year fuel supply at max power) with an antimatter reactor and small amount of fuel for boot strapping the ignition sequence. ¨¨Heavy lift booster using beamed power thermal rockets burning hydrazine are the core engines. With droptanks and thermal turbojet engines to escape Kerbin atmosphere. Once in vacuum, Orion Nuclear Pulse engines will take you to any destination. Thermal rockets can also be used for precise maneuvering (4,600m/s in core fuel tanks).
