Description
Built to perform biome, altimetry, and ore scans of all of Jool’s moons, it has enough fuel to then go scan other planets as well before returning to Kerbin for dropping science to research labs and being recovered at the KSC. Heat shield and parachute module not provided. Requires SCANsat version 18.14 as newer versions of the mod have different scanning instruments.
- v1: Jool scanning package adapted from voyager v4a, removed antennas, added scansat and ore
- v1a: smaller recoverable lifter, more compact, RCS on transfer stage, lifter lacks fuel to return from Jool transfer
- v1a1: lifter relays, more goo, narrower
A stock rocket called Jool Scanner v1a1. Built with 461 of the finest parts, its root part is strutOcto.
