flight instructions: fly bomber to altitude of at least 12km (12000 meters). AG 2 to separate X-15 and activate control surfaces. make sure engine is turned on and throttle to max. try to keep an ascent profile of 45 degrees. stop burning when apoapsis reaches 80km. this can reach orbit, so decide if you want to orbit or land (cannot land without crashing if you decide to orbit). descent is fairly normal, try not to lose control. at 3000 meters, separate tailfin, and hit AG 1. AG 1 will unlock the landing skis, hit G to toggle gear. when skis are fully extended, press AG 1 again to lock skis, and then attempt your landing. a runway is optimal but grass landing is possible.
