Description

A stock rocket called Lunokhod Proton. Built with 168 of the finest parts, its root part is adapterSmallMiniTall.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.2.0.

Mun rover built to roughly replicate the soviet Lunokhod rover. In the grand scheme of the soviet lunar program, Lunokhod was to supplement the manned lunar landing architecture, sent in advance as a robotic scout to the landing site and acting as a radio beacon to the LK lander during it’s decent, guiding it into it’s designated landing location. Proton is silly OP for this payload, mostly because it was designed to be able to handle other payloads I may require it to orbit later (say, maybe, a Mir station core). As a warning: the Lunokhod rover likes to jump a little when decoupled from the landing platform and sometimes assumes default control from the adapter, which confuses the wheels. Rover comes packaged with complement of scientific equipment (which KerbalX seems to not be detecting for whatever reason).
