Description
A stock rocket called Apollo Saturn IB. Built with 163 of the finest parts, its root part is fairingSize3.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.1.3.
Vague recreation of an Apollo Program Saturn I B. Like on the Titan II, I had to clip engines to get the eight H-1 engines to put out enough thrust to make the thing fly. S-IV B instrumentation ring is missing, as is the protective capsule shroud which was attached to the LET. Uses the same S-IV B and CSM as the full Apollo Saturn V, which I may or may not put up here at some point, if I can get the SI-SII interstage fairing looking a little nicer. Can carry at least 10 tonnes of cargo to LKO in the interstage, plus additional cargo space in the first segment of the service module for optional scientific instrumentation and such. Warranty does not protect against head colds or potential mutinies.
