Description
Super heavy tank prototype, designed along the same lines as the i
series of super heavy tanks.
A spiritual successor to the Akula super heavy tanks, the XMT-100 is a 100 ton monster, the pinnacle of mobile land based firepower. It is fast and mobile, with quad tracks that allow it to navigate across rugged terrain, heavy duty twin turbo fan engines enable the tank to travel at top speeds exceeding 40m/s (144KMH/90MPH). The armour protection is unparalleled, heavy armour covers the entire vehicle, with thick side skirts and very angular front to enhance the chance of deflecting incoming fire. The turret houses a single main gun, flanked with anti tank missile batteries and flak cannons. The rear of the tank is mounted with a large intergrated missile launcher and radar system. It can fire anti aircraft and anti surface missiles.
The tank is intended to be a mobile command centre. Under its heavy armour is an array of mining drills, ore processing reactors, and fuel cell arrays. It has effectively unlimited range and is only limited by the amount of ammunition it can carry.
