Description

—-Kormoran’s Sinking 75th Anniversary Release—

The Kormoran (AKA HSK-8, Raider-G) was a Kriegsmarine Auxillary Cruiser that served in World War II. Orginally the merchant vessel Steiermark, the vessel was accquired by the navy and converted into a merchant raider. Commanded by Theodor Detemers, she would destory 10 and capture 1 merchant vessel. However she is most known for the destructive engagement with the Australian HMAS Sydney. Despite being far weaker than Sydney the Kormoran managed to sink the vessel, although battle damage forced Kormoran to be scuttled. 81 on Kormoran and all aboard Syndey were lost.
The vessel in KSP sails well, although the many action groups assigned to the IR parts make combat a bit complicated. While the vessel was finished in version 1.0.5, it should operate in 1.2.

A mod aircraft called HSK-8 Kormoran. Built with 722 of the finest parts, its root part is Keel2.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.0.5.
