The Dak-1 Baako is a small, light and nimble fighter bomber capable of tight manoeuvres at low speeds. It features three small J-20
Juno Basic Jet Engines, one of which is situated just under the tail of the aircraft. It also sports a LY-05 Steerable Landing Gear at the end of the tail originally designed for quick take off purposes. When the aircraft reached 10 m/s the pilot would tilt back so that it would travel along on its two mid wheels and tail wheel, the idea being that once the aircraft reached speeds of 40-60 m/s due to the angle it would self lift into the air. However it was found that accelerating and taking off in a straight line was much more effective and that the wheel just acted as a safety measure stopping the tail from hitting the ground during take off and landing. This design weighs in at 8 ton and only 12m long.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.2.2.
