Airrow returns to the military market after a demand in militarised close air support aircraft capable of delivering medium payloads at high speed, low altitude and nimble enough to fight its way out of hostile interceptions. The FireSpitter Mk1 is a two seater, featuring twin Saturn AL-31FM1 afterburning jet engines, fed by two Mk3S1 adjustable ramp intakes, a wing span of 21.1m in a delta gull wing configuration. It has air braking capability through its two A.I.R.B.R.A.K.E.S. situated above the deployable and retractable rear landing gears. Upon take off and landing, the lower yaw tail fins must be retracted to a horizontal state before touching down to avoid coming into contact with the ground. Once airborne, it is recommended to fold them to their most vertical position for greater manoeuvrability.
