Description
The craft file is slightly different than the one in the pictures because I had to remove some obsolete parts from SXT. IT should be much more stock and compatible now.
This time for sure, I swear!
This is a replica of the Su-25 Frogfoot Ground-Attack aircraft.
The Su-25 is designed primarily for the Attack-role. It’s handling is a lot stiffer to reflect this but it’s very stable, so long as Centre-of-Lift is kept near the Centre-of-Mass.
I’ve done extensive testing to get the AI to fly the plane correctly. Of course anyone can further refine this. But do note that I’ve limited the Yaw controls a bit because it had a tendency to go into a flat spin, especially when flown by the AI. I had to remove the cannon at the plane’s nose as this screwed up AI aiming when using the gun pods on the wings.
As with any titled cockpit design, I’ve placed a probe core just behind the cockpit to allow better nav-ball synchronization. Please set it to control before letting the AI fly it. I’ve noticed when the titlted cockpit is used the AI flies very erratically and can exacerbate the unstable yaw controls.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.1.0.
